I haven´t been writing as much as I had anticipated. When you´re traveling, the last thing you really want to do is sit in front of a computer and write about yourself, I´m realizing. I would rather be reading a juicy novel, taking photographs or writing in my journal... and practicing my spanish.
Anyway, I have met even more amazing people! I am really enjoying meeting many people from all over the world.
So far, this trip has made me realize (even more!) how much the United States shelters their citizens from the get go. Americans grow up to learn mostly about our country, taking so much pride and passion in being an ¨American¨... and making it so that we don´t care leave... because it is unsafe and NO other country is as good as our´s...etc. Sure, the states have SO much opportunity and sure, we should be ¨proud to be an American¨, but through my education up until I went to a University, I felt as though I never had to leave the states because... why would I want to? There´s not a whole lot out there. But there is! Anyway, just a bit of my opinion on that. Also, why don´t many Americans travel in general? I feel as though the people I have met here, from all over the world, have seen more of my country than I have! and I must say that I have seen more of the country than most of the people I know. It just blows my mind.
I leave Buenos Aires today at 20:00 and I am both sad and ready to leave! I´m ready to get out of the city and get away from the business of this place.
This past week, I have spent a lot of time taking Spanish courses. My Spanish still sucks, but its getting better. I can chit chat a lot more that I could before. I´ve been trying to speak with this Colombian girl and these Ecuadorian people this past week as well. Its so difficult! I just need to start thinking in Spanish I think.
30hs from 20:00 tonight, I will be in El Calafate... close to the edge of the world. I have chosen not to go to Ushaia because I think I would rather spend my money in other areas and I have heard that it´s not as wonderful as it sounds. Perhaps one day I will make it down there, when I have more money and time in Argentina.
That´s about all that is happening in my simple life right now, so I will sign off with a few photos of the wonderful Buenos Aires!

The graveyard ones are from Recoleta, where there are graves as big as my studio apartment in Flagstaff! It was amazing just because these people are so wealthy that they can afford to buy a lot so large to RIP! It really brings new meaning to a "graveyard". The graveyard was an entire city block, like a city within a city.
(Also where Evita's remains are, what a tragic story she had!)
The others are from La Boca- an extreme tourist attraction. I only spent about 20 minutes there, or less, because of the traffic through there. The colorful buildings were nice, however all of the people kind of ruined it for me...
