so, these past few weeks have been a bit hectic. i was working with the children in sedona for a few days, i did a few trips to prescott  (hometown) and i went to mexico. wild times. its been both good and bad. the family retreat in sedona with the kids got pretty stressful and i also had a full night of food poisoning, which made the next day pretty rough for working with 7 kids, by myself. let's just say, it wasn't easy. not to mention, i got attacked by every super mom in the room, a total of 4.  it was time to detox after that, but i can't say fleeing to mexico with your folks is the best way to do it.

don't get me wrong, fish tacos, margaritas, the beach... spanish and shakira are all very, very good things... however when you need to decompress, maybe its time that you just sit in your room by yourself for a few days and just breathe, go to yoga, ride your bike, drink tea, create. who knows what the best solution is (it varies from person to person, i'm sure), in the end, i'm glad i went, i'm just not sure that it was the best way to relax though.

so here i am, trying to get back to normalcy. gemma and i are working on our garden- we planted it the day before i left for mexico and our broccoli has sprouted! i decided to sign us up for the community garden in flagstaff and let me tell you, that place is absolutely amazing. there are some people who really know what they're doing in there and we are so happy to be involved! we decided that our garden would have tons of artwork that we did together in it, like a gallery because we might not be so good at this gardening thing, so we might as well make in unique and pretty.

in a nutshell, i'm so glad to be back to flagstaff to enjoy the monsoons and just get back to my ritualistic lifestyle. this week i'm really looking forward to making a lot of healthy salads and salmon, going to yoga, riding my bike on the tacky trails!, and hopefully working on my mural. we will just have to see! all i have to say though is that life is starting to get really, really good! :)
