I can't express how much I absolutely love getting my wallet and ipod stolen. To be honest though, I'm pretty okay with it. There is no point in getting all worked up about it when you can easily just move on and face the next thing that life has to offer. So... I ordered a brand new ipod! I figure I'm going to need and use it a lot with all of my upcoming travel plans.
My ipod was from the eighties, weighed about 5 pounds and it needed to go away, but how could anyone steal that? Why would they? I don't understand humans sometimes.
As for my wallet, getting everything replaced is such a drag, but whenever things get stolen from me, I get back to what is really important in my life; time, relationships, education, etc. Material items come, go and are never permanent. I can't rely on them for life fulfillment.
I am taking this course on the people of the world, mostly indigenous tribes, and it really reminds me of "The Gods Must be Crazy" in that our civilization is so based on technology, new this, new that, shopping, etc. I'm not saying that I don't love to have the latest mac laptop, or the latest bose headphones, but I think we take it all for granted.
This weekend might turn out to be really fun! My parents are going to be in Scottsdale and I might go meet them there and try to hang out with the Tempe crowd for a little bit. Since its snowing today, I think I could use the warmth of the valley (as much as I can't stand the business). I want to see Lauren, Mona and Brian, mostly.
Off to school I go! (I'm late!!!)
