New Beginnings!

Lately, in my recent decisions to pick up and leave, packing has been exhausting me too much soooo I have been producing a lot of artwork! I'm so excited to be using my creativity again and lately I have been so inspired.  As usual, I am doing portraits of pets, and self portraits... with a few landscapes on the side. With the crappy weather these days (snow in mid-May? wtf?), I have a great excuse to lay in bed all day and create.

A few of my favorites so far are these...

This is Astrid, one of the first ones that I did. She looks like a worried little gal. I do like painting her a lot just because she's got so much character and she's such a precious little soul. I like to think of her as a nun in this portrait. This one is mixed media, mostly oil pastel with a bit of paint here and there.

Mom's dog- Son. She's quite a glamorous lady, and she still needs some work. I'm thinking that I'd like to add some sort of intricate designs to the borders. We'll see! This one is oil paints and oil pastels.

So! After such a great burst of creativity, I am hopeful to maybe get an art show started.  I'll be posting more later as they are finished!
